New Zealand lifts NESPRESSO Youth International Match Cup

George Anyon, 20, representing the Youth Training Program of the Royal New Zealand Yacht, with his team of Josh Wijohn, Patrick Haybittle and Logan Andresen, has won NESPRESSO Youth International Match Racing Cup.
George Anyon beat Murray Jones of Cruising Yacht Club of Australia 2-1 in the best of 3 series. The Race Committee had to cut-short the racing today after no winds forced the crews to stay at docks till after lunch. The racing between Anyon and Jones was quite close all through the regatta and at the last start either team might have walked away with the victory.
In the fight of the wills, Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club’s William Eastman won the third spot from William Dargaville. Anyon called the win today as down to the boat handling, keeping it effective and very simple big thanks to the team coach as well as graduate of Youth Training Programme Chris Steele.
Wijohn, Andresen and Anyon also won Centerport Youth International Regatta previous weekend, but Anyon appeared apprehensive that they would be able to take 3 victories in 3 weeks with Red Bull Foiling Generation arranged at Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron next week.
